Bilawal Bhutto Launches Solar System
Bilawal Bhutto Zardari for the people of Sindh in a ceremony organized at the Chief Minister House,The first phase of solar system distribution has been initiated. During the inaugural speech, Bilawal emphasized the commitment of the People’s Party as a political party for long-term solutions to social problems.He highlighted that the party’s election manifesto includes plans to implement people-friendly programs across the country to help the poor access solar energy along with the Benazir Income Support Programme.

Eligible Criteria For Phase 1 Solar System
Benazir Income Support Program holders are being given free solar panels, The NSER survey will be conducted at tehsil level to check the eligibility criteria in this program and the eligibility criteria will be completed under this survey.

Following are the eligibility criteria for phase 1 solar system in Sindh:
- Resident of Sindh: Applicant must be a permanent resident of Sindh.
- Ownership or Tenancy: The applicant owns the land or house in his own name, or has valid proof of tenancy.
- Electricity Connection: Applicants must have legal electricity connection.
- Income Criteria: The applicant should have low income and cannot bear the burden of heavy electricity bills.
- Land Area: The applicant should have adequate land area for installation of solar system.
- Not already benefiting: Applicant is not already benefiting from any government solar scheme.
PPP’s Solar Park Initiative
Under the PPP’s Solar Park initiative, a major effort is being made to solve energy problems in Sindh through public-private partnership. The objective of the project is to promote cooperation between the government and the private sector for the construction and operation of the solar park.
